Aurélien Grosdidier

I studied pharmacy at the Université Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France. I also obtained a master degree in biological and biomedical sciences in Grenoble in 1998, and another one in Bioinformatics in Lausanne in 2001. Then, I worked on EADock, a software predicting molecular interactions, and obtained a PhD in biology in 2007. After my PhD thesis and my PharmD thesis, I started a PostDoc in the Molecular modeling group of the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Between 1999 and 2009, I've also been head of the technical advisory board of Antesis Interactive, president of Antesis.Org, and the main developer of several task-oriented Linux live-CDs. Most of these projects were sponsored by Antesis Interactive.

So far, I have been involved in five research groups:

Current work

I am very interested in the prediction of interactions between small ligands and protein active sites, and I am actively working on the EADock software, which was developped during my PhD. Today, I am also involved in several projects related to EADock.

Hobbies

I'm fond of sailing and psychology (more precisely social behaviours, cognitive science, and the impact of new technologies on these two). A selection of some pictures I shot are available here.
